Ingredients: Lots of fun; a spoonful of exotic spices; a splash of music; a cup of love,
and one large smile.

 

Method: Feed your senses, savour the exotic spices, listen to the music and add a generous pinch of love. Serve with a big smile.

 

This recipe has made my life deliciously joyful. I love music and play the Tabla and
Punjabi Dhol drums, but above all, I am passionate about cooking.

 

Grinding spices, mixing ingredients and preparing exotic, tantalising meals for friends and loved ones is so much fun. It is a wonderful feeling to be able to bring smiles to every face at the dining table.

 

Originally from India, my parents emigrated to Pakistan in the late 1940´s, finally settling in Germany. Growing up in Germany in a Pakistani family was a fantastic opportunity for me to experience both cultures. These two countries have made me what I am today. Beautiful landscapes, education, friendships and my wonderful youth are precious gifts from Germany. And my experience of Pakistani culture has shown me bright, colourful clothes; sensational music, and spicy exotic food.

 

I love playing musical instruments and enjoy cooking different varieties of food (European, Pakistani/Indian, Italian). But it was my mother’s delicious spicy food that touched my heart and roused my interest in Pakistani cuisine so much so that I decided to learn the art of Pakistani cooking myself.
I began to explore Pakistani spices and, with a little experimenting of my own, I was soon cooking fabulous meals for my friends and family whose positive feedback inspired me to turn my passion into my profession.
